We Are All Connected

Have you ever woken up wearing a blindfold?

Imagine waking up in darkness, bound to a chair with blood dripping down the side of your face… Completely blind to everything around you. The gash on your head makes you dizzy and you have no recollection of what happened to you.

And then you hear it… The loading of a gun…

The professors pleads, “Who are you? Where am I?”

The word responds.

“Are you sure that’s what you want to ask?”

The professor shakes around in his chair, trying desperately to break free.

“Don’t you mean, ‘Where are you?’, and ‘Who am I?’”

The professor falls over in his chair. Speaking to the pavement, he says, “I know who I am.”

The word laughs.

“I also know who you are.”

The professor tries to get his blindfold off by scraping his head agains the floor.

“What do you want?

The word picks up the professor and sits him upright on the chair.

“I want you to explain your work to me.”

“What? Why would you want to know…”

The word lets off one round without hesitation.

“I’m a scientist!” the professor screams!

The word allows him to continue….

“I investigate mirror neurons and, well, i’m more of a biologist to be honest…”

“What else?”

“I study nature and the animal kingdom to learn how everything communicates..”

“And?”

The word pulls off the professors blindfold and becomes flesh.

With a gun against his head, the professor utters his last words…

“We are all connected.”

The professor is shot in the side of the head.
